The name of the game says it all... The Black & Blue Bowl And if you think it refers to the schools colors you are sadly mistaken. Of course, Southern Miss will wear black and Memphis will don their blue for our annual conference matchup, but as the fans, players and coaches know... Black and Blue refers to how intense and physical this game is year in and year out! Whatever the outcome of the contest, one thing is certain...the black and blue colors will linger long after the final whistle blows. |
